ECO4

The ECO4 Scheme offers financial grants to households lacking the means to independently invest in energy efficiency upgrades. These enhancements encompass solar panel installations, heating solutions like heat pumps, and insulation improvements. Designed to assist low-income and disadvantaged families, the Energy Company Obligation program, which is backed by major energy providers, aims to enhance home energy efficiency, ultimately reducing energy expenses and carbon footprints. Eligible households can access complimentary grants for installations of solar panels, heat pumps, and insulation.

ECO Plus

ECO+ (Energy Company Obligation) is an initiative designed to offer financial support aimed at enhancing energy efficiency for numerous households through grant-funded insulation and improvements. With a funding allocation of £1 billion, this program seeks to lower energy bills and decrease carbon emissions, continuing until March 2026. While ECO primarily requires energy suppliers to assist low-income households, it also includes energy-inefficient homes in lower Council Tax brackets, striving to aid some of the most vulnerable families in reducing their energy expenses.

LA Flex

Local Authority Flexible Eligibility (LA Flex) is an extension of the government’s Energy Company Obligation (ECO) scheme. This initiative empowers councils and local authorities to broaden the criteria for eligibility, enabling a greater number of residents, in addition to those on benefits, to qualify for funding. The eligibility can be based on factors such as lower income, health conditions, age, or geographical location, thereby allowing councils to offer targeted support to specific communities. Previously, energy companies were limited to allocating only 25% of their obligations through LA Flex. However, this cap has now increased to 50%, which means that more individuals who do not meet the standard eligibility criteria can now be considered for assistance.

LAD Scheme

A total of £500 million in funding has been designated for Local Authorities via the Local Authority Delivery Scheme, aimed at assisting low-income households in enhancing their heat retention and efficiency. The primary objective of the LAD scheme is to boost energy efficiency in properties that are low-income and underperforming, specifically those holding energy performance certificate (EPC) ratings of E, F, or G. Assistance may also be available for homes rated B and D, including those not connected to the gas network. It’s important to note that improvements related to fossil fuel heating and biomass heating do not qualify under the scheme’s guidelines.

ECO BOILER SCHEME ELIGIBILTY CRITERIA

To qualify for this program, you need to either own your home or be a tenant in a privately rented property and be registered at that address while receiving one of the benefits listed below. Additionally, if a resident at that address receives any of these benefits, you might also qualify for the program.

Grant schemes now cater to a broader audience, meaning that if you were denied a free government grant under a previous iteration of the ECO Scheme, you may still be eligible this time.

Once you complete the online form, we will reach out to confirm that we have received all the necessary information. Begin by filling out the form above to assess both your eligibility and that of your boiler. If selected, we will guide you through the grant application process, which begins with a complimentary survey carried out by a Gas Safe Registered engineer.

The engineer will arrange a convenient time to visit your home and evaluate your current heating system and its energy efficiency. After your application for the ECO program has been approved and all details finalized, a Gas Safe certified installer will take care of your new boiler installation.

All that’s left for you to do is sit back and enjoy a cozier home with lower energy costs.

What are the steps involved in the process?

Once you’ve submitted your application for a boiler grant using our online form, we will reach out to you for a brief phone call to verify that you fulfill all necessary criteria. This quick assessment will only take a few moments and involves checking your benefits, annual household income, number of children residing in your home, and your living situation (whether you’re a private tenant or a homeowner).

During the call, we’ll also request details about your current boiler, including its make and model, its condition, and its location in your home. Having this information ready will expedite your application process, allowing us to identify installers with available funding in your area more efficiently. After that, you can sit back and enjoy a more comfortable home with reduced energy costs.

An engineer will then arrange a convenient time to conduct a survey, evaluating your home’s heating system and energy efficiency. Following the official approval of your ECO program application, a Gas Safe certified and dependable installer will take care of the installation of your new boiler. All that will be left for you to do is relax and enjoy the benefits of a warmer home and lower energy bills.
